Conveniently close and within a couple of hours plane trip, Italy is another perfect holiday destination for the over 65s traveller. With lovely warm summers and mild winters, it has a wonderful climate – with the added bonus of skiing for the more adventurous amongst you.

Most visitors, in particular the older generation, flock to Italy for its culture. Italy is a country of natural diversity – the hustle and bustle and sophistication of Rome and Milan to the peace and tranquillity of Lake Garda. However, throughout Italy, the locals are wonderfully hospitable and rightly proud of their wine and food. You can expect to spend a large amount of time at a restaurant as the locals do enjoying the fine atmosphere and hospitality.
