Holidaymakers, including those with senior travel insurance, planning on taking in the lights and sounds of Las Vegas, may want to make use of a new travel destination website devoted to the city.

LasVegas.net contains over 120,000 pages, with information on hotels, golf, shows and events, real estate, car rentals, tours and of course, casinos.

The site includes a business directory that lists 35,000 firms that operate in the Las Vegas area.

Marty Mizrahi, president and chief executive officer of LasVegas.net, said: "It is an easy-to-use web site where everyone can find useful and helpful information such as reviews, contact information, directions maps and photos."

In March, financial services provider Mint reported that two-thirds of the over 50s, including those needing OAP travel insurance, make a point of celebrating their birthday every year, with 18 per cent of all Britons commemorating their birthday with a holiday.
