09 December 2006  UK holidaymakers urged to 'enjoy La Dolce Vita'
Holidaymakers, including those with senior travel insurance, are being recommended an escorted trip to Italy.

UK travel operator Titan HiTours has published its brochure for travel in Italy during 2007, featuring a range of escorted tours, getaways, cruises and extended stays, Easier reports.

Examples of the trips on offer include an escorted tour of Pugilia, the heel of Italy and a ten-day Treasures of Italy tour taking in Rome, Florence and Venice.

Hugh Clayson, director of Titan Travel, said: "Demand for our Italian holidays has surpassed all expectations both in group and independent travel."

He added that the cause of the company's success was its arrangement of planned itineraries hosted by professional tour managers.

Furthermore, he explained that Titan Travel provides travel consultants to assist holidaymakers, such as those with OAP travel insurance, from when they make their original enquiries until they book their trip.

Travel insurance provider More Than recently reported that 1.3 million Britons travelled to Italy last winter to avoid the British winter.
