09 January 2007  Travel bag launched for home care lift
Those travelling abroad with a mobile chair lift, including holidaymakers with senior travel insurance, may be interested in the launch of a "user-friendly" travel bag for the product.

Liko, a patient lift and transfer solutions provider, has released a travel bag for its LikoLight home care lift, designed to improve long-term mobility for those with home care.

The lift can be folded or disassembled into three separate parts for portability when travelling abroad.

"The newly announced travel bags can accommodate either a folded lift or the three individual subassemblies," the company reports.

"The bags can also be equipped with wheels to permit conveyance across parking lots and through airports," it added.

Last year, price comparison company moneysupermarket.com advised mature travellers to ensure they are covered by senior travel insurance before travel.

It urged older travellers to make sure they disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to their travel insurance provider, as failure to do so could result in a connected claim being rejected.
