16 May 2006  New Zealand senior tour offers adventurous activities
Those with senior travel insurance could be in for a treat as a tour of New Zealand is offering a tour range of activities targeted at the young at heart.

Midlife Adventures, part of Dehann Tours New Zealand, has aimed its package at those who are "too young to be called old and too old to be called young".

It offers experiences such as walks amid waterfalls and the opportunity to explore Wairakeil's geothermal valley – which includes boiling mud pools and silica terraces.

Lasting for 13 days, those with OAP travel insurance who opt for the tour will also get the chance to sea kayak, go yachting and be entertained by a themed Maori concert.

Destinations in the tour include Queenstown, Punakaiki and Wellington.

Those with senior travel insurance who are interested in the tour should also note that the maximum number of people allowed in each group is 14 and that accommodation during the Midlife Adventure tour is in three to four star hotels and lodges.

However, those armed with OAP travel insurance who would rather arrange their own itinerary could take advantage of a range of tourist destinations in the country.

New Zealand also made the travel news headlines recently as Air New Zealand announced that it was to buy four 'stretch' Boeing 787s.
