08 August 2007  Caribbean cruise 'offers everything in one holiday'
Britons having trouble deciding what to do for their holidays this year have been advised that a Caribbean cruise can combine everything they might want from a jaunt abroad in a single holiday.

Carnival Cruises - which predicts that a record 2.9 million passengers will sail to the region with the firm this year - claims that a cruise holiday can provide travellers with the best of all worlds.

Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales and marketing at the firm, said: "The Caribbean offers everything that consumers want in a vacation - picture perfect weather, gracious hospitality, unique sightseeing experiences, great shopping and, of course, gorgeous beaches."

She added that beyond the beaches and shopping, the region also offers a rich vein of history and stunning cultural diversity, with holidaymakers, such as those with senior travel insurance, able to visit a range of landmarks and historical buildings.

Carnival recently announced the launch of a number of Christmas and New Year cruises suitable for family breaks as well as Britons wanting to get away from it all during the holiday period.
