27 February 2007  'Beautiful beaches' recommended in Dubai
Britons tired of the recent wind and rain who are looking to stay warm in winter have been advised to pack their bags and head to Dubai for a sunny holiday at the tail-end of the season.

Accommodation booking directory Hotelnet is offering its customers, including those with elderly travel insurance, a free night at a number of destinations, such as Singapore, Sydney and Dubai.

"Anyone planning to get away to a place where surf, sand and sun are at their best, then Dubai could be just that place," the company states.

"With beautiful beaches, amazing sightseeing opportunities and thrilling holiday activities, any holidaymaker is sure to come away with an experience of a lifetime."

Last September, OAP travel insurance provider AA Financial Services revealed that a fifth of over-60s heading abroad will travel to exotic locations, including China and Australia.

The firm commented that older travellers were not letting their age prevent them from exploring the world.
